Weekend Workshop: Using the Creative Arts for Prayer, Meditation, Celebration and Thanksgiving

• Who: Open to Recovering Addicts and Family Members (Interfaith)
• Time: One or two day workshop
• Goal: To encourage a personal and meaningful connection to your Higher Power
• Size: Small (10 or less)
• Safety: No Critiques, Interpretations or Diagnoses
• Supplies: Art Supplies Provided

Dr. Scott is a certified interfaith spiritual director. She has designed this workshop for recovering addicts and their loved ones. Many, not only addicts, struggle with establishing and maintaining conscious contact with a Higher Power of their understanding. In this workshop we will explore the eleventh step of Alcoholics Anonymous, with art. Praying and meditating with art has the potential to remove blocks to spirituality. Praying without words is able to help create a more authentic relationship with a higher source. While engaged in the quiet process of art making we are more able to hear and listen.
